ABBCO 2025 Wrapped — A Year of Growth, Reach, and Remarkable Projects
As we close out 2025, it’s clear this has been one of ABBCO’s most dynamic and rewarding years yet. From long-distance fish relocations to full-scale pond construction projects, our team has taken on diverse challenges that strengthened our reputation for reliability and expertise across the UK.
Going the Distance — Literally
This year took us across a wide range of locations, proving that no job is too close or too far.
Our closest job: A simple maintenance visit just a couple of roads from my home — a reminder that some of our strongest client relationships are right on our doorstep.
Our furthest job: A specialist fish move to Scotland from Surrey, transporting aquatic stock safely and efficiently across hundreds of miles. Starting before sunrise and completing a seamless relocation demonstrated our commitment to showing up wherever we’re needed.
2025 Highlight: New Pond Construction for Boston Golf Course
One of our most significant projects this year was being commissioned by Boston Golf Course to transform the approach to the 10th hole. Their goal was ambitious: turn a simple par 4 into one of the course’s most memorable and visually striking features.
We achieved this by designing and constructing a brand-new pond, introducing a dramatic water hazard that elevates the challenge and enhances the natural beauty of the hole.
This project included:
Full excavation and pond creation
Shaping and installing the liner system
Carefully positioning coir edging
Finishing the area to integrate seamlessly with the existing landscape
The result is a standout feature that has already become a talking point among players and visitors.
More importantly, this project established a strong, ongoing relationship with the club — one that has already led to larger and extended maintenance and landscaping contracts for 2026. It’s a perfect example of how quality craftsmanship builds trust and long-term partnerships.
