Turning a Royal Norfolk Show Purchase into a Garden Centrepiece
Our latest project in Swaffham started when a client bought a stunning fountain at the Royal Norfolk Show… but quickly realised they had no idea how to make it all come together. That’s where we stepped in.
After a free consultation and plenty of advice, they decided they needed a specialist water feature installer to handle the challenge — and ABBCO was the obvious choice.
The Challenge: Heavy Feature, Precision Placement
This wasn’t your average DIY garden project. The fountain was seriously heavy, and the setup needed to be perfect. Here’s what we did:
Excavation & Sump Setup – We dug out a precise hole for a precast round pond to act as a sump, forming the base of the water feature.
Concrete Foundations – Because of the weight of the fountain, we sunk the sump on a solid concrete base to ensure long-term stability.
Laser-Level Precision – We used a laser level to make sure the entire setup was perfectly aligned — not even 1mm out.
Upgraded Pump System – To give the fountain more power and flow, we upgraded the pump for maximum performance.
Engineering Brick Coping – We finished it off with double-ended bullnose engineering bricks as a coping around the feature for a clean, professional look.
